Capitol Hill Cakes and Sweets is a merger between two DC pastry chefs with a tempting twist. Susan and Sharon have more than twenty years of combined pastry experience. From well-known DC Area restaurants to Capitol Hill, both women are proud to bring their knowledge and experience to the DMV, sharing their baking passion and teaching the artistry of sweet design. From the most basic recipes and cake designs to complex laminated doughs and pastries, Capitol Hill Cakes and Sweets teaches the ease of dessert with patience and simplicity.

Once we have our initial phone conversation confirming goals, date(s), location, participant(s) and times, we identify the skill level(s). We create a specific plan including recipes and steps in writing. All materials and supplies are purchased and prepared with the student(s) in mind and we arrive 15-30 minutes early to set up the space to allow for the best possible experience.
One two hour class for a maximum of 12 participants
Focus: any dessert, pastry or cake/cookie decorating
Provided: All supplies, some equipment locally sourced (as available) ingredients, recipes, templates
Requirements: oven and/or stovetop may be necessary, fridge and freezer space, and one-12" square workspace per person
