About
Hi!! I am Chef Khari R Bell I. I have been a Chef for the past 20 years. Over the years I have found that teaching what I have learned gives me the biggest reward. I love to see my students thrive! I have taught the young and old a like. I teach Kids Classes, Adult, couples, and Family. With Covid 19 I also offer virtual cooking classes, and a virtual cooking kids academy!!
I have a passion for food, and I love to share it. To see that love of food rise in someone because of what i have shown them makes it all worth it. I truly enjoy seeing other catch the bug of food. I love the fact that food brings us togeather. Food is a common ground and language that everyone speaks. You can convey any emotion through food. For me it is Love!! I feel that soul food is anything we cook, because we put a little of our selves in everything we cook!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I have to get to know the student. I want to know who they are and what journey do they want to take. From there we start a wonderful adventure of culinary delights.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a culinary degree, and have taught students for the past 13 years. I have all restaurant certifactions nessary to opperate my restaurant.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing. I talyor make each experience for each client. I want to give each client my personal attention from start to finish
How did you get started teaching?
I started out teaching my son how to cook. He was about 6 when we first started cooking togeather. From there alot of my clients came from my catering business, and personal chef clients. I would cook for them and from that they would want lessons. This made me love cooking even more.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have work with just about everyone, from the young to the old, disabled to mentally challenged. As I have said food is a language we all speak.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I catered a baby introduction. This was a family whom had been trying to get pregnet for years and they finally had a son, so this was a big deal. I was truly humbled by their responce to the food. The mother started crying and gave me the biggest hug. She said that I made the day for them, the food and the professionalism was much more than expected. They also gave me a $200.00 tip to boot. Such an amazing experience.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The biggest advice is find a teacher that you are comfortable with, be it me or someone else. Food is a reflection of us and with that an extention of you. So the energy used to create the food is just as import as the ingreidents. So in short you and your teacher must have a beautiful vibe. This inturn will create some masterful food!!! Chef K
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There is truly only one question that i would ask as a student, and that is how far do I want to go?
