Dr. Ettinger's Piano Studio
About
I enjoy watching a students musicianship grow as we explore new pieces of music: classical, jazz, improvisation and composing.
I have degrees in piano performance and a PhD in Music History. My students are welcome to participate (but not required) in studio recitals (3 each year) and other events throughout the Central Florida Music Teachers Association.
I love sharing my passion for playing the piano with others!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I get to know the student and find what they are passionate about; what music are they drawn to? Then I structure the lessons to teach the fundamentals, while always spending some time working on the music that interests them!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught the piano privately since 1998 and at the college level since 2000.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$35 per 1/2 hour lesson in my studio (Winter Park) or online.
$70 per hour in my studio or online.
+$20for travel within 20 miles (subject to scheduloing availability)
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with some very young students, retired students who decided to pick up a great hobby late in life, as well as very serious students who went on to get degrees in music and became teachers themselves!
