About
What if you could learn your dream songs faster than you ever imagined?
Find out how I went from being frustrated at the piano for years to being able to playing any song I want within seconds of being introduced to it, reducing my practice from hours to minutes while getting more done and understanding what I'm playing so it is second nature.
It took me years to learn these skills before attaining a musical degree. I was awarded talent scholarships, internships for million dollar arts institutions. For the past 15 years I have been able to teach my skills and techniques in a streamlined way to my students that gets them to start playing immediately the first day. And now I want to share my knowledge with you.

I can't articulate well enough in words the feeling when I see a student have a breakthrough and allow that motivation to carry them through to the next level of growth. It is immensely gratifying to know that they did all of the work through their own will and determination and that I helped have a part in guiding them along that path.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will use the first lesson as an assessment to see what level the student is at and also their learning and retention level. Once that has been established I give them an easy to follow lesson plan custom tailored for them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have pedagogical experience as part of my music performance degree from Stetson University. I have taught and performed for over 15 years for students interested in jazz, pop and classical styles. I specialize in ear training, music theory and practice techniques that maximize your playing effeciency by more than double.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes. I prefer to speak pricing over the phone but the pricing depends largely on if the lessons are done online or in person at the students residence. Online Lessons are now being offered at a discounted rate due to COVID-19.
How did you get started teaching?
I played in church growing up and congregation members would always ask for lessons for their children. I started a piano teaching business in church and ever since then have enjoyed seeing my students grow immensely and go on to enjoy the piano in their careers whether it be in music or not.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've had very talented prodigy like students who applied themselves and excelled rapidly and I've had students who wanted to enjoy the piano as therapy. All my lesson plans are custom tailored to the student's interests, abilities and what I determine will be the best foundation for them individually.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently was contacted by a student who accompanied a professional opera singer. I was filled with pride and joy at his accomplishment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who is compatible with you personality wise and that listens to and attends to your needs and concerns at the piano.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
When asking a question please do not hold your concerns back out of fear of upsetting the teacher. We're here to help and the more we know, the better we can help you. The piano studio is a place of non-judgement and anything that is asked there will be respected for the betterment of the student and their process for growth musically and for enjoying the piano.
