About this pro

I’m a very energetic teacher who loves sharing my love of music in a fun environment.  I have been playing the piano for 28 years and teaching for 14.

I love working with children and teaching them a skill they can apply to other instruments.  Once you have the fundamentals of piano the sky is the limit with any instrument.  You learn rhythm, timing and music theory in a fun way.  I love seeing my students enjoy learning.

What I admired most about Brittany’s lessons was her constant patience and enthusiasm she used to encourage my daughter. I would highly recommend her to anyone especially newbies.

Brittany taught my son for almost 2 years. She encouraged him, challenged him, and rewarded him with incentives. She was always a happy, kind, and fun teacher. She developed a good rapport with him right away. I would highly recommend her as a piano teacher.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We do a meet and greet with their parents and they get their books and folder which they will be bringing each week to lessons.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been playing the piano for 28 years and teaching for 14 years.  I have played in churches, weddings, at funerals, for baptisms, and have accompanied choirs and soloists.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Lessons are 30 minutes once a week and cost $20 each lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

I have always loved teaching.  I wanted to share my passion of music with others and help them devople their talents in music as well.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with children as young as 5 years old up to adults.  I have also worked with special needs children.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love watching children perform at recitals and talent shows.  When they finish performing they gleem with pride for all the hard work they have put into their performance pieces.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

I would look for a teacher who is fun and fits your teaching style.  Find someone with experience and that you would enjoy learning from.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Consider if you have time to practice.  Do you own a piano or keyboard to practice on?
