What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We CUSTOM-MAKE all private lessons! We find out what's important to the student, then get them playing their favorite songs QUICKLY. With decades of experience, Lynn Roxy brings out the very best in her students!
We teach in -person or online. If the lesson is online,we make sure the student is comfortable and stress-free in their set up.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Lynn Roxy is a member of the Maryland Entertainment Hall of Fame.
She is well-known for fronting the popular classic rock band,
“THE FABULOUS HUBCAPS” where she covered lead vocals, keyboard, sax, and flute. She is also a faculty member at the Community Colleges of Baltimore County and teaches both jazz and classical piano. Prior to the “Hubcaps,” Lynn was a featured performer on CRUISE SHIPS throughout the U.S. and Europe playing all styles of music.
Lynn Roxy has played at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, 5 Star Hotels in Europe, and many other exciting venues!
She is currently the CEO of Roxy Piano Lessons, an innovative company teaching piano online and in-person.

How did you get started teaching?
I attended Peabody and Shenandoah Conservatories and graduated from Towson State University with a Music Ed degree- classical piano concentration.
Then attended graduate school for JAZZ.
I started teaching early in life because I absolutely LOVE to share my passion and knowledge of music!!!
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages 6- 92 years of age.
Students that have learned Jazz, Classical, Gospel, Pop/Rock, Broadway, and Hip Hop.
