About
I’m a percussionist of 15 years and I’ve been teaching privately for 10 years. I’m an FIU graduate with a degree in music business and years of hands on experience in the music industry. I’ve been on tour twice across the country with a soul/funk band and I play shows around the city of Miami almost every weekend.
I’m very laid back with my teaching approach and like to make sure my students are having fun while they learn, so I’m always cracking jokes and making sure we’re practicing things that interest the student. I can play pretty much every genre of music so whether or not you want to learn rock, jazz, or how to march on a drum line, I’ve got your back.
I also do work-for-hire recording sessions and performances in case you need a drummer for any style show or song recording.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Generally I’ll take the first lesson to assess the student’s skill level by having them play a few different grooves and songs. After that I’ll ask what style of music and learning approach they like and we move forward from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with a degree in music business from FIU and have taught music in a number of different work environments.
