Pianist Tang holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from University of Miami, under the tutelage of world’s renowned Santiago Rodriguez. She was an outstanding student and had excellent academic records during the school years. Aside from being a performer, she has many years of teaching experience from private lessons, trainer of piano competition, and music classes at schools.

Chinese pianist Mengyuan Tang made her first mark and impressed the audience with her talent and passion by winning piano competition in China when she was 6 years old. She has won several awards including YAMAHA Piano Competition, China National Youth Art Festival, Hong Kong Asian Piano Open Competition; and has performed her first recital when she was 10 years old.
Mengyuan graduated with the Bachelor of Art degree in Music Education from Xinghai Conservatory of Music (China) in July 2012 with highest honor and was titled "the most outstanding student". She was awarded with many scholarships during the undergraduate study. She also received Teacher’s Certificate in Music Pedagogy issued by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
After the undergraduate study, Mengyuan accepted the offer from the Frost School of Music, University of Miami to continue her graduate study in Keyboard Performance started Fall, 2012; under the tutelage of world’s renowned Santiago Rodriguez. Again, She was an outstanding student and graduated in May, 2014 with 3.8 GPA.
Aside from being a performer, Mengyuan has a goal of becoming a college level piano instructor. She was titled "Outstanding Instructor" during the Chinese Youth Art Festival Piano Competition for coaching young pianist; she also worked with her professor to develop a "Practicality Piano Pedagogy" to help students who are not interesting in the traditional piano learning approach. She will continue to pursue her goal along with been an excellent pianist.
