About

Hey Wonderful Pianists! Through Grace Piano Studio is a wonderful place to get started off on becoming a successful pianist or to simply continue to progress on your great skills! This is a classroom where you will be learning how to musically play classical pieces as well as learning to play piano pieces that you personally love in any type of genre. The foundation is built on the learning of pieces on classical composers, yet there will be pieces learned that the student chooses that might not particularly be of classical genre in order to have a very diverse capability of learning. In this classroom the student will also be attaining music theory lessons in every session as well as rhythm lessons in every session until it becomes second nature to them. Our goal is to be able to get those things out of the way in order to solely focus on the musicality of every pieces and to complete the finishing touches as quickly as possible. As soon as rhythm and theory is complete, sight reading on the piano will be the main focus and the completion of pieces. These theory and rhythm sessions all together will contain about half of the lesson and the rest of the time will be solely focused on the piano. Homework assignments will be given in order to assure lessons are being imprinted in the student long term memory. We accept students of all ages. From very young to elder. We accept anyone. The levels can be all the way from beginners with no experience or knowledge on the subject to intermediate levels and even pianists on a professional level that are looking for extra pointers to sharpen up their skills. This is just a quick view and introduction of Through Grace Piano lessons. We are open to any new ideas and are open to helping in any other areas our piano students might individually need help on. Lessons are one on one with the teacher giving the student an undivided attention for best and quickest results. We look forward to seeing you there! Bless!

My favorite thing about working as a piano teacher is having the opportunity to give the same knowledge that I have to others. Music is a gift to everyone. Did you know an average persons brain has one side that is more dominant than the other?Amazingly playing an instrument such as the piano strengthens and balanced the use of both sides of the brain and can be helpful in every area of their lives. It is a known fact that one of the only activities that activates, stimulates, and uses the entire brain is music! Music can be fun, relaxing, exciting, emotional, intellectual, and so much more. Passing on this knowledge to students is my favorite part. If everyone can play an instrument even with basic knowledge, then friends and family can all get together to play, express themselves to each other and enjoy each other's company in such a beautiful way! Passing on this gift to others is my main goal!

Frequently asked questions

At first we like to get to know the student and maybe find out some of their interests in any area of their lives. If they are shy or outgoing is not a problem. We respect everyone and believe everyone has a different time to grow and blossom. This is for the sole purpose of getting them comfortable and relaxed in order to play and learn sufficiently. A relaxed pianist is a successful pianist. Moving on then, we get to know the capabilities, knowledge, and interests pertaining to music of a new student. As soon as we find out their knowledge on the reading of notes and rhythm as well as if they have any knowledge on music theory then, we can get a basic understand on the level they are in and begin to create assignment and learning sessions. There might be students that learn faster than others but, our main goal is to always progress and find ways to improve their learning abilities. We can and will reach the goals they have set for themselves and willingly even more!

I currently own my Associates Degree as well as my Bachelors Degree in the performing arts. My last degree was obtained at the New World School of the Arts Conservatory. It is a local branch of the University of Florida. Both degrees were achieved as a Piano Performer. During college I was president of our piano club. In my time during studying I had a couple of years on the training of music theory. The piano was my main instrument, although I also learned how to play other percussive instruments such as the drums (many different types) and the marimba (also different bell instruments). I have experience in playing in ensembles as well as teaching ensembles and experience in playing in orchestra. I have experience as a teacher in a marching band at Ronald Reagan High School in Doral. I have now decided to open up my own piano school and eventually I want to create the opportunity to organize events for my students and partner some of them up, if they would like, in order to gain experience on the accompaniment and fours hands piano. Setting up events will get them known for their skills out in society if they choose to participate. Experience on teaching a student one on one is also a skill I have under my belt and look forward to teaching as well as continue learning because a teacher is not only a teacher but a student to the students sometimes.

Every student at any level will be charged the same amount. Pricing will be $30 for an hour. A student may decide to have lessons once a week or multiple times during the week. Pricings may be subject to change in the future and the student will be notified with time prior to the action.

During college I joined a music club called Opus One. We would travel to different high schools in order to recruit soon to be graduates to our school. Each of us would perform together in accompaniment as well as do solo performances. After our performance at Ronald Reagan High School in Doral the Director in the music division hired me on the spot to teach the percussive section in the marching band. After this I fell in love with teaching and began to teach family members and friends at their homes as a start. Then, eventually I decided I needed to open a school of my own where I can be employed full time to do what I love.
