What is your typical process for working with a new student?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing the violin for 16 years and have a Bachelors in Music Business. I also have four years of formal violin performance training as well as classical/jazz piano, singing and ear training, and music theory as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My pricing starts at 45 for students with an existing musical foundation and up to 70 if I'm traveling more than 10 miles for beginners that require special accommodations.I am flexible and willing to negotiate.
For online lessons:
You will receive three live or prerecorded personalized lesson with one of the four lessons in the package being an in-person lesson to clear up any additional issues. The pricing for this is $160 (or $40 per lesson). Pricing can be discussed to accomodate needs.
How did you get started teaching?
I started with tutoring fellow students in music theory and sight singing, then eventually began teaching lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as four years old up to mid-fifties.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
For any students looking for music lessons, remember to be patient with yourselves and your teachers as well. Music is awesome but can be tidious at times,never lose sight of the joy in moments of frustration!
