My name is Joe and I am a professionally trained musician giving private beginner/intermediate piano and classical organ lessons to adults and children age 6 and up. I also teach music theory. I graduated summa cum laude and earned my B.S. in Music from the City University of New York in 2012 and have been giving private lessons for over 5 years. Everyone learns differently, so I teach each student using various teaching methods/techniques. I am a very kind and patient person, and I make sure every student is enjoying what he/she learns. My goal is to share the gift of music and to develop the unique musical talents of each student. I truly enjoy teaching. I love sharing the gift of music with my students, and I'm always so proud of their accomplishments.

Joe is fantastic! He is extremely patient and kind. in teaching my daughter who has artism (her word for her autism). He adjusts his pace to match hers as needed to accommodate and modifies according to her abilities and learning styles. I was nervous about her learning how to actually read music, but she is excited both when he comes and when we practice during the week. He utilizes several techniques to reach her and she is COMPLETELY engaged with him for the entire hour of lesson. She readily practices reading, writing, and playing the material from each lesson which is a testament to his ability to instill in her looking forward to the next lesson. What a great find!
