What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I listen and assess which books and materials would be appropriate for each child, individualizing each child’s abilities, special needs, and previous education.Daily practicing is a MUST. I encourage performing on fun recitals (Halloween costume reciitals and Christmas/ Winter Holiday concerts....as well as performing on serious concerts, in preparation for the big Music Festival each February.
i use much positive reinforcement and I have tremendous patience for children who are applying themselves.
