How did you get started teaching?
I have wanted to teach "The World To Sing" since I was 7yrs old. After many years of "Day Jobs" I began teaching in a Tampa Area School and have never looked back.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and levels of students, from my youngest at 4yrs old, and my oldest at 80 yrs old.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was working with a young man on hitting a high note and we been working on stretching his range for about 30 minute, when he hit the note with beautiful resonances and freedom. It gave my goosebumps, which I only get when the voice is functioning corectly and freely.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If The Voice Teacher can not demonstrate physically the skills they are teaching, leave.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is this for self improvement and fun, or skills for professional asperations.
