About

I am a veteran swim instructor who has been teaching adults and children how to swim for over 30 years. My passion for swimming started when I was 10 y/o -- when I competed in my first swim meet. Being trained to teach swim lessons through the Red Cross, assures I have the highest standards and the best training available. There is nothing more satisfying than teaching a life saving skill to a child or an adult that they will carry with them forever. I enjoy watching my students become confident in their swimming ability which in turn often times gives them confidence in other area's of their lives.

We moved here from Long Island in December. I knew my 7 year old twin boys needed to learn how to swim since our home has a pool. I asked around the YMCA in Hollywood and was given Robins phone number (I wanted private lessons). Robin came to our home and worked with both my boys at the same time. I was so pleased watching their progression from non swimmers to swimmers. What a great service she provides.

I am 32 and tried 3 other instructors until I met Robin at a pool in Fort Lauderdale. She was so patient and took the time to explain and demonstrate the skills. She never forced me to do anything I wasnt ready for. After 3 lessons I could actually float on my OWN! after 8 lessons I could jump in the deep end and swim to the side. Im so thankful for her lessons. Pull.. Breath.. Kick .. glide!

Robin is a very patient and concerned swim instructor. She didnt rush my 2 year old son when he was afraid to get in the water. By the end of the 6 weeks, he was practically jumping into her arms. I recommend Robin to anyone who has a child that needs that extra special touch!

Frequently asked questions

Whether I am teaching a child or an adult, I understand every person has a different comfort level when they enter the water. I adapt to the specific needs of each of my students. My goal is to make sure you or your childs time is not wasted by wated time in the water. That's why my students learn something new in every lesson until the desired goal is achieved.

I am Red Cross certified in First Aid, AED and CPR. Additionally my Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is through the Red Cross.

I have been in the water and participating in competitive swimming since I was 4 years old — so the act of swimming is natural for me. Teaching others to swim is a passion… not a job.
I've worked with EVERYONE! Adults. Children. And those who are somewhere in-between :)
Make sure you are ready. If you're a parent.. are you ready to se your child struggle to learn a new skills that one day could save their life or are you an adult that want's to be ready for a new challenge?
