Hi to all,

I am teaching piano and composition lessons online during this time we are all concerned about spreading or becoming infected by the corona virus. taking safety precautions.

To be able to present all the concepts and activities to young students and to make them fun, I suggest that a parent be present during lessons until young students becomes familiar with the different books and online activity.

Making a designated place where lessons occur at your house increases focus and saves precious time going online and getting settled. Is there a corner at your house near the piano or where your keyboard can be placed on a stand? You need a bench, good lighting, a small table and a pencil.

Intermediate, advanced and composition students must also have a dedicated place where lessons occur. Keyboards must be on a stand and with a comfortable bench. If you need to purchase any of these items, you will find safe and immediate help from sales associates at Music and Arts Stores and The Guitar Center.

Lessons can be scheduled for 1/2 hour, 45 minutes or one hour. I charge for the time on the clock and ask that students are on time please.

My rates are a per semester fee. This summer, if you begin by June 15, we will schedule 8 consecutive weeks. I'll announce the fall semester schedule when we all have a better idea about the spread of the virus. I will continue to teach online until a vaccine is found.

I am a composer/producer/pianist. I composed for PBS, the TV. Show America’s Most Wanted and have had several cd releases. My academic background is from The University of Miami in the acclaimed Studio Writing and Production masters program; I also have a music education degree from the University of Maryland.

I enjoy seeing each student embrace music as part of their expression. Music is a universal language that lasts a lifetime. At this time of the corona virus, I particularly enjoy giving families a way to be together and spend quality time sharing music-making together. I hope moms and dads who have some piano experience will study along with their young children.
