Miami Youth for Chamber Music (MyCM) provides young advanced musicians mentoring sessions with South Florida's finest professional musicians in the art of chamber music performance, inspires new musicians by offering affordable beginning and intermediate music classes, and shares with communities the meaning of Chamber Music: one player per part without a conductor and the intimacy of 'rational people conversing' through their instruments to bring one idea to fruition. Chamber Music performance and practice allows for each child, the musician, to develop their own voice, build confidence, integrity, and humility while achieving one common musical goal.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A new student who already plays will bring their current and past music repertoire, scales, and etudes to their first lesson. They will play for me and I will assess their playing at which time I will set up a set of short-term and long-term goals along with a new list of repertoire and studies.
Each student will receive a folder, notebook, and a pencil to keep track of progress of each lesson.
Students will be advised on which pieces will be learned for public performance and what assignments will be for etudes, scales, sightreading, and musicianship
