About
Hi, I'm Emma, an amateur pianist, blogger, and video creator who is passionate about helping you shine at piano! Whether you're a child or teen beginner or an adult who wants to start lessons, I can help you have fun while learning piano technique.
I've been playing the piano for over 8 years and love playing classical, jazz, ragtime, and hymns. I write educational articles for my blog, Emma Blair Piano, and record performance videos for my YouTube channel (Emma Blair Piano).

Start by getting on my waitlist: email me at [email protected].
Sign up for a free, 30-minute trial lesson where we can get to know each other and I can see at what level of piano you are.
Purchase the books you'll need. (Check out my Studio Policy on my website for the complete list and price estimates.)
Pay for 1 month of lessons. I do require you to commit to one semester of lessons before you decide to quit, but you only have to pay for one month at a time. It takes time for you to make progress in piano!
We'll start weekly lessons on Skype!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been playing the piano for over 8 years, and am studying for my RCM Level 10 (Advanced) exam. This is my second year teaching piano. I perform on my YouTube channel and write educational blog posts on my piano website, Emma Blair Piano.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

45-Minute Lessons (Weekly): $120 USD per month
60-Minute Lessons (Weekly): $160 USD per month
Payment Method: Payments must be made via Paypal or Venmo.
Payment Due Date: Payment for the month must be received on or before the first day of that month. It is important that payments be received on time.

Trial Lesson: One free 30-minute trial piano lesson is available during my piano studio hours to see if your child and I are a good fit for each other.
How did you get started teaching?
I wanted to teach my younger siblings piano, and decided to expand to teach others online.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children 9 and up and teens at the beginner, intermediate, and late intermediate levels. (RCM Level 7 and under)
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love attending live concerts and curating playlists of my favorite music on Spotify.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who encourages you and for someone you enjoy spending time with. You want to have a teacher who challenges you while making your piano lesson fun. You should be looking forward to your lessons, and to your practice sessions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do I want to learn piano? Am I willing to practice consistently? Do I own a piano, or do I need to purchase one? What piano books do I need?
