Music Therapy Services, Inc.
About
As both a Music Therapist and a Music Educator, I create experiences for children and adults that builds a bridge between my two professions. My specialty is sharing music techniques and experiences that are geared towards developmentally delayed children and adults, as well as older adults with memory loss/dementia. While music is the primary modality utilized, many of my goals are of a non-musical nature, such as improved fine & gross motor skills, establishing & maintaining a trusting bond and relationship, improving social skills, increasing the ability to recall recently acquired information, learning creative & healthy outlets for anxiety and depression.
What I enjoy most about my work is forming and maintaining a strong bond of trust through music, and observing others experience joy through learning (or re-learning) new things, both musically and emotionally.
