Stephen is a first rate pianist and teacher. I like that he intersperses theory, technique & even fun facts with the usual fingering, rhythm & tempo. Hes a stickler for getting each piece just right, but does so gradually with lots of positive encouragement. I even bring special songs to my lessons which he helps me with alongside the lesson books. I continually learn lots from him and music adds so much to our home.

He is very professional, allowing me to learn something new each lesson. No time spent is wasted when working with Mr. Chapman. I’ve been going to his studio for about 6/7 months, and I feel like I’m still learning new piano skills every time we meet! That means a lot for somebody who has been practicing for 12 years. Overall a very personable, kind, and VERY well qualified instructor.
