Cassie's Music Studio
About
I have been playing flute and piano for over 20 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Flute Performance.
I love working one on one with students to help them reach their goals in music. I can teach in a traditional studio setting or I can set up virtual lessons.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson with a new student is getting to know them, how they learn, what they know and what their goals are. Everyone learns differently and is at a different stage, my first priority is making sure I know how to best set up their lessons so they are successful but also challenged to get better.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Flute Performance. I have been teaching either privately or in the classroom since 2007. I have been playing for over 20 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are price per lesson to be paid before the lesson. It is up to the client on if they want to pay for a month at a time or just a lesson at a time. My prices are as follows:
30 minute lesson - $20
45 minute lesson - $30
60 minute lessons $40
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching while in college finishing my degree, after that I moved to the classroom as a substitute music teacher while continuing to teach private lessons.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students at all different levels, ages, and goals.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am most fond of directing my bell choir at St. John Lutheran Church in Winter Park, FL. They are great people who love making music together and it brings me joy to direct them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher you are comfortable with and will listen to your needs. Do not choose one that will not challenge you, as that will not make you better.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your goals for lessons. Are you just starting out and need some extra help or are you trying to prepare for an audition or contest. Are you seeking to play for fun or to get a degree in music. Any information you have concerning your goals help teachers best direct you.
