FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Each lesson is individually customized to meet the students needs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Pedagogical studies of voice and piano. I also am a lead music tutor at Rollins college. This position is one I’m proud of as I was hand selected by the Rollins College Department of Music faculty leaders.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

There are many teachers locally and on a national level that will offer you or your child lessons. However, very few have the true experience, knowledge, and performance ability to instill proper fundamental techniques that ensure not only success, but healthy practice and performance habits. Make certain that the teacher you’re looking for has this ability and is able to curtail lessons to meet and exceed your goals.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Do you have the eagerness and persistence required? Music is more than just playing or singing. It’s communicating. Being able to read multiple languages, bring out musicality, and dedicate yourself to perfecting and honing in your craft.
