Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first start with a new student I like to get them comfortable with me and with me in the water. Once my student is comfortable I have them show me what they can do. I then ask what they would like to learn. From there I will build my plan to include what you would like your child to learn but also what they would like to learn.
When working with children under 18 months I like to have a parent in the pool with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My mother has been a swim instructor/lifeguard my whole life. I grew up in the pool. I've swum competitively for as long as I can remember till I graduated high school in 2018. I taught swim lessons and was a lifeguard all throughout high school at the YMCA. I've continued to teach friends and family in my free time since then. I teach from infant to adult.
