About
Christopher Wojahn is a professional freelance violinist based in the Central Florida area. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Mr. Wojahn holds his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Performance (2014) where he studied violin with Dr. Ayako Yonetani at UCF and Amy Jevitt at EFSC. He frequently performs with the University of Central Florida Symphony Orchestra (UCFSO) and Chamber Orchestra, formerly under the direction of Dr. Chung Park, whom Mr. Wojahn also received additional private instruction from. Chris has been teaching private lessons in the Orlando area for 7 years at various private music schools in the area as well as his own home private studio. His students have gone on to win auditions in youth orchestras such as the Florida Youth Symphony Orchestras (FSYO) and All-County orchestras. Brought up on the Suzuki Violin Method, as a result of hard work and dedication, someone who comes from a non-musical family, I firmly believe that music is for everyone and has the power to change lives! No matter what your age or background is, everyone can learn to play the violin and I can teach you! In addition to teaching and performing, Chris also studies conducting, music composition, and music history. Areas of musical interest and research span from Baroque and Eighteenth-Century Music performance practice to the music of the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries.
