About this pro

I am a professional violinist with more than 2 decades of performance experience as a member of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra of Poland, and as a member of the Sotto Voce String Quartet.  I am therefore equipped not only to teach violin, but to help students deal with practical and real-time performance-related issues.  My Masters degree in Violin Performance and Pedagogy at the State Music Academy in Poland has also proven beneficial as I pursue my work as a teacher.

I take great pride in helping my students, no matter at what stage of development they may be.  It is very satisfying to witness their progress and help them achieve their goals. I want to pass on to my pupils the passion I feel for music and the joy it has brought me.

Mrs. Cieslik is just wonderful with child. My kid (10 yr old) is still going to her for lessons every Sunday and continues to learn violin music and I see her being more confident. I would definitely recommend Mrs. Cieslik.

Katarzyna was able to find a connection with my my kid. She is knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. My daughter excited to come back and learn more since Katarzyna kept the lesson fun.

Pleasantly surprised of how easy Ms. CIeslik works with me; I say this because I am what I call myself an intermediate beginner who started to playing three years ago this month. With two lessons with her under my belt and she has already shown me new techniques. Excellent teacher and great professional that truly teaches her students with no reservations. I highly recommend her.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I cater the teaching method to the needs of each student on an individual basis.  Children often require a greater amount of creative play and activities which reward accomplishment and concentrated effort.

Adults may often have more specific goals as to what they wish to accomplish, such as improving a particular technique, or re-discovering a previously learned work.

Some of my students wish to participate in festivals and competitions for which I can prepare them.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Master of Music in Violin Performance and Pedagogy (Warsaw Academy of Music)
Violinist (Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic -- European Art Center, Bialystok)

Member of the Sotto Voce String Quartet

Music Mind Games Teacher Training Workshop 1 and 2
