Hello,
I'm Master Rafael Rodriguez and my goal is to provide the very best in traditional Taekwondo martial arts instruction, as well as up-to-date and fast hitting Olympic style techniques and strategies. I have been training and teaching martial arts for over 23 years and have been and international coach for Olympic Taekwondo for over 10 years. Through the years I have had the pleasure to train and produce national and international champions as well as team members for team USA and Trinida & Tobago.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I like to give a free trial class or two and see how the student responds to the lessons. After that if they are a good fit for class I will pursue the chance to train the student even more. If a student is eager to continue training that is a great determining factor for me because regardles of the skill level and ability, an eager student can have so much potential.

How did you get started teaching?
I worked my way up through the ranks and as a requirment for promotional testing to my black belt, when I was 15 years old I started helping out at my local dojang and fell in love with helping others ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from beginner to advanced/black belt level and even international world class level competitors.
I enjoy training and teaching anyone so it doesnt matter if the person is a 5 year old whte belt or a seasoned olympian, I enjoy teaching and training.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask alot of questions.
