If youre looking for exceptional guitar lessons, Drew is the person to turn to! Ive had the pleasure of taking guitar lessons with Drew for several months now, and Im blown away by the progress Ive made under his guidance.
From day one, Drew has been incredibly patient and encouraging, which has been instrumental in helping me develop my skills. Hes not only an expert guitar player, but hes also a skilled teacher who knows how to break down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps.
Drews lessons are always well-prepared, and hes always willing to customize them to meet my specific needs and goals. Hes helped me with everything from basic strumming patterns to advanced fingerpicking techniques, and his teaching style has made all the difference in my progress.
Aside from being a fantastic teacher, Drew is also just a genuinely nice person who makes every lesson fun and enjoyable. I always leave our sessions feeling inspired and motivated to keep practicing and improving.
Overall, I would highly recommend Drews guitar lessons to anyone looking to improve their skills and take their playing to the next level. Hes an exceptional teacher and an all-around great person, and I feel lucky to have found him as my guitar teacher!

    Frequently asked questions

Brand new students, we start with the fundamentals and I figure out what kind of music they are into. From there, I create lessons based off melodies of popular songs that they know to build interest!

Then we work our way up from there!

I went to the school of real life experience. I was in a performing act (band) for 7 years touring around the South East playing shows. I have been a songwriter and producer for 10 years.

I felt like I have a bunch of knowledge and perspective that can better another generation of musicians and how selfish of me would it be to hoard all of that information??

I have worked with first time learners, intermediate players to proficient musicians. Everyone can learn something new from a new perspective!

I started work on the development of my music software. You can come to check out the journey live on stream!

What can the teacher play? Can they themselves be coach able? Are you teaching straight from a book? Are the lessons open to visitors?

As a guitar teacher, there are a few questions that I would recommend students think through before talking to me about their needs. These questions will help ensure that we can have a productive conversation and that I can best understand their goals and preferences. Here are some key questions to consider:

What are my goals for guitar lessons? It's essential to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve with guitar lessons before you talk to a teacher. This will help the teacher understand what kind of instruction will best suit your needs.

What is my current skill level? It's also important to be honest about your current skill level. This will help the teacher assess where you're at and plan lessons that are appropriate for your skill level.

What style of music do I want to learn? Whether you're interested in rock, blues, jazz, or classical guitar, it's helpful to let the teacher know what style of music you're interested in. This will help them tailor their instruction to your specific interests.

What challenges am I currently facing with my playing? If you're struggling with a specific aspect of guitar playing, like fingerpicking or playing barre chords, it's helpful to let the teacher know. They can then focus on helping you overcome these challenges during lessons.

What is my preferred learning style? Some students prefer to learn through visual aids, while others may prefer a more hands-on approach. It's helpful to let the teacher know what your preferred learning style is so they can tailor their instruction to your needs.

By thinking through these questions, students can have a more productive conversation with their guitar teacher and get the most out of their lessons. As a guitar teacher, I always appreciate when students come to me with a clear idea of what they want to achieve and how I can help them get there.
