About

I take a therapeutic approach to teaching art and do not have a generic program for you to follow. Instead, I take the time to listen to how you want to grow as an artist. I then create offerings designed to help you embrace the creative process while providing you with tools and techniques to overcome your struggles and create the art you desire. My goal is to help students unlock and increase their creativity, improve visualization techniques and establish their personal style as an art

I find greater purpose in my life when I am able to share with others and identify how my journey although unique is very similar to everyone’s quest for happiness. My art is a way to express and honor the journey of life while inspiring others to do the same.

I loved that Kerry came prepared for the event and demonstrated a calming demeanor throughout the class.

    Frequently asked questions

I give thirty minutes FREE to explore the premise that art is the ability to relate and transform our surroundings; therefore it has no limits or wrong answers. I find it is best to explore subject matter and techniques that interest the student for best results. I want to know what inspires you to create, what mediums you have worked with, what you feel your biggest strength and greatest struggle is with your creations is and listen to your goals as an artist. Next, I like to share about my personal art journey and cover how to create a mindset and environment for optimal creative flow, no matter the project. This way, we can establish a bit of a creative connection and build a plan to go forward with one or more sessions that explores subjects and techniques you want to cover.

If you are truly a beginner we may do a lesson on color to understand how our eye makes sense of color and build color schemes that are visually appealing while exploring some different brushes and what can be done with them by playing with different strokes and paint thickness on the brush and ways to push paint with the brush all the while creating an impromptu practice painting. The closing of the beginner lesson would be about brush care and supply storage.

A more advanced lesson may include how to layer color and get translucent effects or creating mixed media pieces.

Since 2008, I have worked with over 150 artists in and around Florida to expand visions that are greater than my own. As an infinite artist and born collaborator, I have worked as a writer, performer, Meetup organizer, MC and host for poetry and entertainment events, painter, dancer, singer, costume/stage designer, drummer, creative producer and focalizer for some transformational music festivals (like Zen Awakening). Ultimately, it has taken decades of love, life, education, development and lots of creative action into a cohesive art form.

Beginning lessons start a $35 for 45 min lesson.

Intermediate lessons are $50 for 90 minutes.

Group lessons are $75 per hour/ or up to $125 per workshop (2 or more hours) up to 6 people.

*Some lessons may have a supply fee or materials list that vary upon activity.

Initially, I started working with children through my child's school and expanded into coordinationg and hosting workshops for children and adults that vary from teaching sewing, painting, woodworking skills, mural painting, tie dying working with resins and so on.

I have worked with adults, children, beginner, intermediate, professional and disabled persons.

My son recently graduated high school and has started his own custom clothing and shoe brand. He credits me for teaching him skills and providing inspiration to be a successful working artist.
