Ruby Golf Academy
About
Golf instruction for players of any level. I work with players not only on technical aspects of their game, but also put equal importance on the mental side.
I played professionally for 5+ years, lowest competitive round was 64. I have taught more than 7,500 lessons and look forward to working with students at all levels.
As a teacher and advocate for the game, I take a very complex and technical game and break it down into simple, repeatable steps.
I love when students at any level achieve something in golf they didn't think was possible.

1. Ask the student what they want to achieve or improve in.
2. Observe / video student to get a baseline/ starting point.
3. Put step by step plan that student can commit to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Been a member of the PGA since 2003, mentored by PGA Tour instructors throughout my teaching / playing career
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Range Sessions are $75/Hr and have packages as well:
6 lessons for the price of 5 ($375)
12 lessons for the price of 10 ($750)
Playing lessons - $175 (9 holes)
How did you get started teaching?
Grew up caddying and always have had an affinity for teaching. I consider myself a pretty good player, but a much better teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students at every level..... from the beginner to the professional.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was fortunate to take my students to TPC Sawgrass earlier this year. This was the ultimate test of their games, and got to experience one of the most iconic golf courses in the world.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Obviously look at their history in the game, and ask a lot of questions around their methodology and philosophy of the golf swing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Time commitment is the main thought. This game takes time to improve. Similar to the gym, its not the gym's fault that we are out of shape..... its that we don't go to the gym enough.
