What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students I take things step by step and do an introduction starting from piano positioning all the way to key identification and location. I try to be as detailed as possible and tailor the class to what the student is trying to achieve.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in music. My studies began with a concert pianist at the age of six and studied the instrument for over ten years.
How did you get started teaching?
I started by teaching my neighbors child. One thing led to another and here I am over ten years later doing what I love which is teaching music.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students from all spheres. I worked with autistic children as well.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I recommend feeling comfortable with the teacher and making sure the teacher fits the criteria your looking for.
