Kneipp Piano Lessons
About
I am a passionate 19 year-old teacher specializing in teaching young children musical, theoretical, and performance skills for piano. I focus on teaching 1-3 songs at a time as well as the corresponding theory for each song. I like to make unique and specific roadmaps for every student so that they may learn the most possible out of each lesson. Due to my age, I also exceed expectations with younger audiences due to my ability to relate to them and understand their difficulties in learning piano. I will always provide 110% of my effort when teaching my students and am able to commit to a long-term professional relationship!
As for achievements, I've competed and recieved a certificate of achievement in the National Piano Guild 2 years in a row (2017-2018). I have also been teaching over 6 students (ages 4-50) for about 2 years in my local community. I am also a very passionate musician who thoroughly enjoys producing music in various genres.
With this wide palette of skills in different sectors of music performance, composition, and theory, I will gladly pass on everything I know to my future students!
I enjoy every part of the teaching process. From seeing my students learn and grow to me discovering something new that I had not known before. It really feels great to participate in a tradition as old as time: teaching. Music is and has always been my passion but now teaching it has been a blessing I did not expect. I aim to be the best teacher possible to all my pupils!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I asses their current knowledge of the piano and move on from there. The first lesson is always free to make sure the student is truly interested in learning and that my teaching style is a good fit!
A typical day teaching piano involves practicing scales for warmup, then playing our current pieces in training, discussing some theory, reinforcing that discussion with exercises, and finally a few fun minutes of either composing, music-listening, or further explorations of themes discussed during that lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied piano for over 15 years since I was 4. I have also participated in numerous recitals, attended multiple competitions, and joined a rock and roll summer camp. As a teacher for over 6 students, the journey of learning is never over and I aim to continue honing my skills with extracurricular events!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a firm price of $15/half hour per student but if that sum is not possible, I am also willing to negotiate!
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching because my teacher, at the time, a few years ago needed to travel for a couple months. Having firsthand insight into my set of skills, she thought I'd be a good fit to teach her other students while she was away. Soon enough I fell in love with teaching and started my own school of students!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mainly worked with students from the ages of 4 to 13. I also teach adults looking to learn the piano however and am very profecient in exploring a wide range of concepts!
