About
I am unique in that I enjoy teaching all ages from music classes for infants & tots with their guardians, to young children who want to learn a little about many instruments &/or acting, to piano/voice/acting for older kids & adults. And you don't just have to pick one thing! Children especially love getting a few minutes at the end of each lesson to try a new instrument for fun. Nothing boring about my lessons, so kids really want to continue learning. My 2 specialties are breath support/control, and building confidence. I love finding the passion & talents of each person & helping them really grow & feel good about themselves. My motto is FIND YOUR VOICE & ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS.
I grew up in Marietta, was Student Director my Senior year at Marietta High & majored in Elem. Music Education (voice & clarinet) in college. I went on to audition & be a part of the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir as well as their Chamber Ensemble & Madrigal Choir, then joined the Marietta Master Chorale after returning to GA. After I had 2 daughters I certified in all Musikgarten curricula, began teaching in preschools & eventually opened my own public studio offering all my loves...music, art & theater. A few years ago I shut down my studio to go mobile. I have been teaching in the Cobb & Paulding County area for over 15 years & still very much enjoy it. I offer lessons & classes in Kennesaw and holiday/Summer camps at the Brookstone Amenities bldg. I also teach at BREAKAWAY Special Needs Ministry, Foundations for the Future School, and Mt. Elizabeth Academy. Don't let the young ages fool you, 'cause I also teach middle school drama & help adults ding, write music, give speeches & play piano. I hope you will allow me to work with you or your child.

I love making a difference in people's lives...no matter what age! The confidence I watch grow in them is amazing!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A prospective student should schedule one lesson with me. We meet, talk a little, and then I "test" the abilities of the student by leading several activities to determine strength & weakness. This helps me plan a course of action for lessons while also giving the student a chance to see how I teach. At the end of the lesson we discuss the plan & whether we are a good fit for a teacher/student relationahip. I am very flexible in how I teach because everyone has different learning styles.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices are listed on my site. Please know that I try to work with students to help meet a budget by doing things such as:
1) Two 30min lessons back to back is charged the price of a 1hr lesson. That is $10 less, so it saves the student $40 per month on average.
2) I can barter for services if the student or their parent does something I need, such as haircuts.
