About
I teach students concepts in theory, ear, technique and sight reading of piano music. I combine elements of each of these studies in their piano lesson which give the students a broad understanding and a detailed approach at the same time. This helps to make their learning and playing of the piano very enjoyable and fun.
I really enjoy seeing a student learn piano and having the ability to interact with them to help promote their success at learning the piano. There are many different concepts students will learn in piano lessons. When these concepts come together and a students playing ability starts to shine, it makes teaching such a joy!

My fee is $30 per 1/2 hour lesson.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have been teaching piano to students for 17 years and have taught students from 1st grade all the way through high school. Students have learned how to play extensive piano music, utilizing both hands creating melody and harmony from beginner songs to advanced pieces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher has years of experience working with children. There is a science and an art to teaching piano to children and to those students who are experienced. It is also very good if the teacher has the students participate in an annual piano recital. Always ask for references from the piano teachers current students.
