About

San Sei Bu Self Defense Systems

San Sei Bu Self Defense Systems - Kenpo Karate Club is a serious proven organization of dedicated Martial Arts instructors. With combined teaching experience of over 40 years.

All of the instructors take pride on focusing the street effective, self defense system tailored and taught to meet each individual student's needs.

The style that will be taught will be the following: Karate (Goju Ryu), Judo, Jujitsu, Kenpo, Kung Fu (Chinese Boxing), hence the style KaJuKenBo, Aikijitsu, Pressure Point Control Tactics, Knife Defense, Club/Stick Defense, Gun Defense and use of weapons from various styles.

We use many various styles, however, we are based on Kenpo-Karate.

Students who participate will develop their: mind, body, eye and hand coordination, self - discipline, respect for others, self esteem, good manners, self - respect, proper Martial Arts etiquette and last but not least self - defense.

All students will be taught the basic techniques of: STANCES, blocks, punches, open hand strikes, kicks, block counter techniques, grab arts, katas. Multiple man attack defense, club, stick, knife and gun defenses are also taught.

The basic technique being; a repetition of blocks, strikes, and kicks done by you to your opponent or opponents and the philosophy; being if the 1st strike doesn't get your opponent or opponents, the 2nd, 3rd and so on will get them. In other words we do not believe in the one punch theory. We do blocks that are necessary and a multiple series of strike techniques.

I have two goals, my main goals are to teach and stress the following: humility, integrity, courtesy, self-control, self-discipline, self-esteem, respect oneself, respect others, physical strengthening, mental strengthening and last but not least a rigorous self-defense training program to survive an attack on the streets. My other goal is to provide a program to all communities’ youths and adults that will offer them a program activity take them off the streets to teach them a different life style other than belonging to gangs, doing drugs, stealing, keeping them out of getting into a life of crime at no cost to them. This program is not about a monetary value but a lifestyle value.

Presently the class is free. Students will purchase their own Black Karate Uniform. I recommend them going to Amazon to purchase the Black Karate Uniform as it is the cheapest way to get a uniform, Only charge for now is if the student is promoted. If the class become larger than 6 then I will seek another location to practice and it may cost 50.00 - 100.00 per month depending on location.and how often classes are held. That price maybe subject to change depending on the facility.
As a child, my parents sent me to Karate school from 1966 1972. My parents sacrificed just to send me to Karate school. In 1972, I quit Karate school and began to train alone. During 1972 to 1982 I developed San Sei Bu Self Defense Systems. I began teaching in 1984 and classes were free because I recall my parents sacrificing just to pay for me to go to Karate class and both parents worked my dad worked 2 jobs. This has been my true passion, to give back to the community, teach my self defense curriculum for free if it was at all possible.
I've taught students as young as 7 years old, however, I prefer to teach students from age 13 through adult. If the student is under 13, the parent shall consult with me and I may allow that student to be taught on the condition that the student can follow strict instructions.
