Piano has always been my passion. I began lessons at age 7, and absolutely fell in love with the sounds and nuances of the piano. By age 9, I knew that I wanted to teach piano as my career choice; I wanted to instill a love of music in others as my teacher had done. My experienced has brought me students of all ages - from young children through adults, beginning through advanced levels. I have 17 years of teaching experience, having pursued and attained my degree of Bachelor of Music with Piano Performance emphasis in 2008. In addition to teaching, I enjoy accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists, and have had the privilege to accompany students on their secondary instruments. I welcome the opportunity to develop the accompanist skill in students, as well. I have held the position of festival co-chairman and chairman for the local clubs, Boise Tuesday Musicale, and currently for the Treasure Valley Federated Music Club, for their Spring festival. A student's curriculum is tailored to their learning style and abilities, allowing for an individualized program and pace. I strive constantly to learn different teaching approaches for individual students needs. I continue to enhance my personal music knowledge by attending workshops, consulting with fellow colleagues, and staying informed on the latest teaching developments.
