Here are the highlights of my music studio!
PIANO, ORGAN, FLUTE, & FIFE* lessons are offered through my studio. If families have enrolled in 3 or more slots for their children (multiple classes or students), there is a family discount of $10 off the total monthly charge.
*Fife is a flute shaped recorder for young flute beginners. This instruction provides an introduction to flute playing for smaller hands and at a low cost of $9 per recorder. Previous piano instruction is recommended but not required.
My lesson schedule Monday - Thursday 7:30 am to 8:30 am and 3:30 pm to 8:30pmhas been extended with 6:00 - 8:00 pm slots, Monday through Thursday.
My pricing structure is based on the level of instruction at a flat rate per month during the school semester, which you can read more about in the attached studio policy sheet. Lessons are 1 time per week for 30 minutes for beginning students, and 45 minutes for more advanced students.
For more advanced students: After having a lesson or two with each student, I will have a better idea if they will need 30 min or 45 min of instruction. I use the Bastien method piano books and Rubank method flute books. Plus, a variety of solo books based on students level and music interests. For example, boys really like to play Star Wars songs, or a student might like jazz or swing style music. Typically, most students would have a performance songbook or literature book where we can apply technic learned & experiment with different styles of music.
Additional Studio Information:
A lesson, technic, & theory book are required materials for piano or organ lessons.
Rubank lesson book, solo book, and theory book are required for flute or fife recorder
Note recognition & scale sheets will be provided for all students as part of the required materials
MINI-CONCERTS twice a year (usually October & February) for all students. Mini-concerts are an informal way for students to prepare a piece to perform. Practice calendars are awarded and advancing students are recognized.
FORMAL CONCERTS twice a year (usually December & May)
SIGHT READING PROGRAM & ICE-CREAM SOCIAL in spring.
Summer semester (12 weeks) is available (June-Aug) if enough students sign-up, but not required to hold your reserved day/time during the regular school semester.

Teaching music is my passion!
I have been teaching for 15 + years total and in the Meridian area for the past 12 years. Typically I will enroll a total of 33-35 students (with 6-9 slots for flute & recorder). Be sure to get your name on my waiting list, as all slots are given on a first come, first served basis (including siblings).
