About

I have a master's degree in music therapy, as well as B.As in psychology and music, with my specialization in undergrad being cello. I have experience working clinically with a wide variety of people, as well as providing freelance lessons since 2016. I'm passionate about working with students to come up with practice strategies that work for them, prioritizing the student's goals, and formulating lesson plans to help students reach those goals. Because of my music therapy background, I am more than comfortable working with disabled individuals and would be happy to accommodate any learning needs.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to get to know the students level first by having them play a piece they are familiar with and enjoy, as well as asking them what they personally think their strengths and weaknesses are. My process centers the students goals while also making sure we work on pieces that strengthen their technique and musicality.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Music from Seattle University, and play multiple instruments. I have played cello for 14 years, guitar for 8 years, electric bass for 6 years, and piano for 5 years. I have played in orchestras like The Protege Philharmonic in Chicago and the Seattle Collaborative Orchestra as well. I also have extensive live performance experience on guitar and vocals. I have taught private and group lessons through Musika Lessons and Meter Music School.

    Cello: $60/hour

    Guitar: $45/hour

    Voice: $30/hour

My pricing is flexible for low-income families. If you are looking for lessons but cannot afford my pricing, let's talk!

I do not teach electric bass or piano lessons at this time.

I started teaching cello to grade school students around the area in high school. I realized how much I loved it and haven't stopped since.

I have worked with children aged 6-15. My specialty is music therapy, so I also have a lot of prior experience working with developmentally delayed and disabled children, so this is a population I am very comfortable working with.
