My name is Alex Giger, and I'm a Chicago-based violinist/violist. I offer in-person or virtual lessons for you, and can accommodate your schedule for a lesson. My style of teaching is empathetic and socratic. I create goals and customize lessons to help you develop your viola skills in a way that improves your applied critical thinking. I have over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages. My HS students have found success at youth orchestra (some currently in CYSO) and college auditions. Hello there my name is George. I myself, my 2 boys 10 and 11 are all products of my intense conditioning and training. I believe that conditioning your body to with stand any physical contact and loss of wind plays a major part in any sport you play. My kids have made the allstar teams for baseball and basketball for the last 5 years running, player of the league and 6th man award playing on the the same team together for both sports every year. 1 major reason they are able to out beat their opponents is by being in better physical shape. I have a Master's degree in classical guitar from New England Conservatory, experience playing in musical theater pits orchestras, and a long career writing and producing music both by myself and with bands! My teaching style is very individualized and goal oriented, and I can teach guitar, piano, vocal technique, and production. The best part is you can study with me from the comfort of your own home!
