Joia is an excellent teacher! She has been my daughter's private violin teacher for a couple of years now. Joia knows her craft well - and is very encouraging and supportive when see is working with a student! She is also a wonderful mentor, and a person with great character. My daughter dearly loves Joia - and has grown by leaps and bounds under guidance. I highly recommend Joia for any student!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to get an idea where their skills are by having them play something for me that they think demonstrates this well. I'm also into classical pop fusion myself and allow for lots of freedom of expression
