Louise is a professional fiddler and violinist working in the Chicagoland area. I have students from age 6 to 75 and personalize all lessons. I perform in Irish, Scottish, swing, blues, classical and folk music and can teach you the tricks of all these trades. Many of my students are top players in their school orchestras. I have a degree in music education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and have recieved awards for my student orchestras, fiddling competitions and more.

Louise has been teaching violin to our oldest daughter for 8 years and our youngest daughter for 5. She is a very patient, positive, and caring teacher. Louise has great technique on the violin and shows both of the girls how to practice to achieve the next level of playing. She is able to break things down for them to really understand. Louise adjusts her teaching style to work with both of our girls who are very different in personality. We would highly recommend her as a violin teacher for lessons.

My daughter has been a student of Louise Brodie for 10 years and my son has been a student for 5 years. Louise provides a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere. We have referred a number of school classmates to Louise and they are very pleased. Both children know how to read music and their techniques have grown throughout the years.
