About this pro

Lessons with me are fun and challenging, and my priority is to help you feel engaged, curious, and in love with making music! Contact me for a free trial lesson!

I am the principal cellist of a professional symphony orchestra, and have been playing for 19 years! Currently working on my Doctorate in conducting, I already hold two Master's degrees in music. I love making music, sharing music, and teaching music!

I also play piano and have accompanied many musicians on their songs and concertos. I love improvising, have collaborated with singer/songwriters in folk, rock and alternative genres, and know hundreds of Irish tunes on the pennywhistle!

Victor is kind and respectful, and gives musical demonstrations that are helpful. It's obvious that he knows and cares a lot about music.

How did you get started teaching?

My mother is a wonderful cello teacher and taught me most of what I know about the world, cello, music, and teaching! I grew up watching her teach and eventually taught for her as well.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages! Ok, in reality my youngest student was 7 and my oldest was 70. What matters is a person's attitude and excitement about music!
