About
I'm an accomplished cook and baker, most recently the pastry chef at the now-defunct Elly's in Naperville. Before attending Joliet Junior College's Culinary Arts program, I was an RN. I have a great deal of experience tailoring eating plans to specific needs, as well as software that can perform nutritional analysis of recipes, including your family favorites.
The kitchen feeds the soul. When working alone, it's meditative. When surrounded by those we love, it nurtures.
No matter how a diet is "restricted," food can be made satisfying and delicious. And if I can do this, so can you!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before meeting, I like to establish goals by phone or email, then send a plan in advance. That way, our time together can be maximized.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My first job was as a cook! Though most of the intervening years were spent as a home cook, I attended the Culinary Arts program at the America's oldest, and highly regarded, culinary school, Joliet Junior College.
From its open to abrupt close, I was the baker/pastry chef at Elly's in Naperville. A move to the city–and Covid–have encouraged finding new ways to enjoy my passion.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My rates vary according to what is desired by the client. They do not include the cost of food.
