About
I have taught music for the last 10 years in Chicago. I mostly taught private lessons where I would travel to the students houses. I have also taught in many after school settings teaching 3rd-8th graders. I currently have a job at the Wilborn Studios in Fort Worth, Texas also private lesson.
I have three degrees in music an Associates of the Arts in Jazz studies, a Bachelors in Music Performance, and a Masters of Music (focus on Jazz Studies). I have made over 15 recordings. Also I am a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia inc. I have traveled nationally and internationally performing music.
I have been involved with music in many different ways. I love music it is my everything. I use music as tool to teach students many life lessons. I motivate my students through music. The challenge of learning an instrument is a proven way to teach logic among many things. Through the process of learning an instrument students often gain self determination, self discipline and patience. All three of these attributes are a necessities in today's competitive world.
