From 1999-2005, I was part of the Chicago Children’s Choir. During that time I was also Cantoring for Our Lady Mother of the Church and playing violin with the church ensemble. In 2004, I began participating in the DePaul Musical Theater program which led me to be accepted in the Chicago Opera Theater Apprenticeship in 2006. After two years in the program, I was the Assistant Stage Manager and had worked on several shows including ‘Into the Woods’. I was accepted into a sister program of the Opera Apprenticeship program in 2007 as the Student Stage Director for the summer program and continued until 2009. During the years of 2005 until 2007, I taught the fundamentals of piano privately for children under the ages of ten. While concentrating on Music at Lincoln Park High School, I received an honorable mention during the city-wide vocal arts showcase. Later I went on to receive first in the Teen Artist Division of Elgin's FireFox Festival. From 2010 until 2011 I was part of “Throwing Horses Off the Wharf” where I worked primarily on writing songs and arranging. While at Northeastern Illinois University, I have joined the Freedonian Municipal Band, a 10 piece rock band with a horn section. We perform every Sunday for our residency at the Abbey Pub and the next few shows we will be playing are Double Door, Grandbar, and the Green Mill. While at NEIU I have also collaborated and recorded music with Dr. Nelson Mandrell, with whom i have taken 3 semesters of Songwriting.
