Ms. Pittman's Music Theory 101

Welcome to class! I have always loved to learn about music ( music theory for this subject), and enjoy teaching others. I have studied music theory for 15 years, and continue to learn about it. In regards to music, I have been involved in choir and band while in middle and high school, as well as started learning music theory in high school, and community music entertainment during my upbringing. I carried on my music theory studies in college, where I have an associate degree in general music. I am excellent with my time and patience investing in teaching others for every level in the subject music theory. I am a musician, vocalist primarily, who carries a strong blueprint foundation. I engage with students and am very easy with beginners. I make learning fun even if it gets to be challenging. Although this course focuses on basic music theory fundamentals, I can incorporate discussions and advanced concepts if each particular student chooses to his/her/their discretion. Otherwise, this course is beginner friendly. Whether you’re someone who needs a better understanding of reading music and it’s foundations in band class, or choir, or as a striving musician, or composing, everyone has to start somewhere.
