What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work with beginner students so we start with basics: how to sit, hand formation, and how to find notes on keyboard. Continue with high and low pitches, loud and soft, and begin simple songs. End with a game that reinforces what we learned.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Started learning piano at the age of 7. At 15 my instructor told me that she was not giving lessons for the summer but that I had lessons all summer. Her confusing statement meant that I would be teaching her 4 beginner students for the summer with her checking in with me each month. From there I started working with my own students.

What types of students have you worked with?
I have and do work with all types of students. Mostly I work with beginner students between the ages of 5-12.
