Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with getting to know new students and what knowledge they currently have, so we can move forward more quickly with their education of food. I'm always willing to travelto them and teach them about different cuisines in their own kitchens.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an associate of arts degree in business management and an associates of science degree in culinary arts/management. I am a certified ServSafe instructor and proctor. I have been in the food and beverage business for fifteen plus years.
How did you get started teaching?
I enjoy teaching food to people. I came across a company that offered cooking classes to their employees and thought that was awsome, so I jumped on board.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with working adults just wanting to learn more about food. I've also worked with both my front-of-house and back-of-house employees on cooking styles and techniques.
