About
I have been a piano instructor for 45 years. I have students who have studied and graduated from USC Thornton School of Music, Mannes School of Music in New York, University of Michigan,An Arbor, William Jewell College, Liberty, MO, UMKC, Kansas City, MO, and University of Missouri, Columbia, MO. I have been president of the Kansas City Music Teachers Association, Certified member of MTNA, member of National Federation of Music Clubs, and member of the American Guild of Organists.
I teach children from age 6 through adult which includes a multi style approach, technical training from the very beginning, and theory. If a student wants to focus on a certain area of music style or music service in the community I will do that. I have access to numerous competitions, and musical events.I also do college prep.
I am a Steinway Top Teacher. I strongly believe that the study of music improves the mind, senses and the behavior of a student.
I love to see my students grow musically and personally. I also teach theory with age appropriate games and group activities besides solo lessons with my young students. Students can participate in the activities provided by Kansas City Music Teachers and Federated Teachers.
