My name is Jon Armstrong. I have over 26 years experience in teaching private and group guitar lessons. I graduated from The College of Mount Saint Joseph with a BA in Classical and Jazz guitar Performance as well as Music Education. Prior to that I had studied Classical and Jazz Guitar at CCM's prep department throughout my teens as well as rock guitar with countless instructors. I have over 10 years of experience playing woodwind instruments. I have studied at Northern Kentucky University in Music education, and music performance. As a musician it is important to learn the fundamentals of music while making sure we do not forget the primary reason we are playing: to have fun. I love to play music with my students whether its duets, arranged pieces, or solo rep.

I have a tried and true method of teaching that makes music understandable. I teach piano and stringed instruments. I have been a musician all my life, having grown up with professional musician parents and siblings. My personal specialty is Jazz Guitar, but I can bring music to you on a level that YOU can understand.
