"Where Love Is Deep, Much Can Be Accomplished". S. Suzuki

I love teaching students of all ages. Playing a musical instrument is a lifelong passion. It is also well documented that it helps students with their academic studies. Performing for recitals helps students develop poise and gives them the opportunity to share their music. The relationship of music teacher and student can be a close bond. The teacher can become a mentor for the student through tier one on one relationship. Having studied an instrument for numerous years is advantageous on college entrance forms. ... View Profile

New Orleans Piano Lessons

(11 reviews)

There are a lot of people who want to try to learn to play piano in New Orleans because they love the sound of music played on the piano, or because this was a childhood wish they never fulfilled. But when you decide to learn to play piano, without an actual (maybe somewhat unrealistic!) desire to become a top musician, you can take lessons that will enable you to learn more than enough to make your dream come true, without the costly investment in lessons in a classic music school. Taking piano lessons is good for everybody:

Music lessons are good for everybody who wants to learn to play piano. They are also an excellent addition to classic music education. It is great for adults who want to learn to play an instrument, and never had time or ambition to go to music school, or simply can't afford that type of education. Music lessons have great potential for your personal development and exploration of your creativity.

  • Kids can benefit from learning to play an instrument sometime in future. They can develop their creativity while they are young, or later in life
  • Younger and senior men will become more confident at different parties-and attract a lot of female attention when they present their musical skills
  • Women of any age will be able to express their creativity and emotions in a completely new and original way; at parties, at home, with friends or children, on a picnic...

The great thing about New Orleans piano lessons for beginners is that you don't have to have any previous knowledge. You learn everything starting from the basics: from the proper position of fingers on the keys, to how to use your fingers to start playing. If you know this basic information, you will get more difficult tasks to develop your knowledge so that you learn to play piano with proper technique and skill.

Taking piano lessons is also beneficial for people who played piano or other instruments a while ago and they have forgotten most of it. The basic level of lessons is an excellent opportunity to refresh your knowledge, to remind yourself of the basics and to learn new things. With as little as 15-20 minutes of practice a day you will become a musician with satisfactory practice. Individuals who have more time to invest on practicing will learn even more quickly, and become good piano players.

Can You Play More Than Classical Music on Piano?

People usually think of classical music when they think of playing piano. But this is not the only type of music you can play on a piano, as you can play anything you hear on radio or TV. Besides, piano is present in various bands, because it is really universally usable. Playing classical music on piano is very special because of the incredible harmony it produces, as old masters really knew how to get the best out of the piano when they composed music. But today there are so many different types of music and it is a fact that every music school teaches how to play instruments with several different music styles-this develops versatility and adaptability in players.
