I am a martial arts instructor and student. Proficient in the korean arts of joint locks, pressure points, take-downs, stand up, ground work and various combatives. Background in both mixed martial arts and boxing. An instructor dedicated to teaching effective and powerful techniques to ensure my students safety.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students are welcome to learn a vaiety of martial arts, mixed martial arts, boxing, self defense techniques, situational awareness tactics, speed drills and strength training as well as body conditioning. If you are looking to become a fighter, mma fighter, boxer, or just a proficient self defense practitioner, come try out some training sessions with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Holding a 2nd degree black belt and training in a variety of martial arts sets me apart from typical traditional martial arts instructors who only have experience in 1 art. I hold many years old knowledge in a variety of martial arts.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teach martial arts at a dojang in Gretna, La. in 2013 and I've been studying and teaching martial arts since.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly students in a traditional martial arts school. I have taught middle school and grade school students at their school facilities as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Teaching of my student how to do a hook punch. His jaw dropped when he realized how much power he could produce in a single strike with proper technique.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
#1 Brutal Honesty. Are you training in a particular skill that suites your needs for learning the particular skill to be useful in your daily life?
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask for a demostration of skills attained by the instructor themselves. Ask can you explain how this technique could be useful in combat or in self defense? Ask if they teach the use of force continuum in using various levels of force? Ask if they full contact spar? Ask if they stress test their techniques? Ask for a free trial lesson.
